  This church has a great contemporary worship band, solid biblical preaching, and a great high school youth group. Although it is nondenominational, this church is doctrinally Calvinistic and is greatly influenced by John Piper's teachings (although it is in no way affiliated with his church).
  
  This is a medium-sized church with about 500-600 people every week. Therefore, it is a great option for both those from a megachurch looking for a smaller congregation, as well as for those from a small church looking for a bigger church. It is not an "old-people church", nor does it cater to the young people; rather, there is a great balance among all generations. Although many wear jeans and a T-shirt to church, one would not feel out of place in a dress shirt and tie.
  
  Small-group Bible studies are a strong point here as there are many home groups and Bible studies for couples, as well as gender-specific men's and women's Bible studies.
  
  This church also has a big missions focus as they stress the importance of sharing the Gospel with others. They get involved in many local outreach events, such as handing out tracks at Kool April Nites and the Christmas Parade, and running an evangelism booth at the Shasta County Fair in June. They also support several overseas missionaries who periodically visit the church and give a presentation of what they are doing. A missions prayer is led during the service every week for both local and global missions.
